apple adventures this past week: went in for a battery replacement last week, they replace the battery but broke my charging port. they give me a free magsafe charger. they need to order a part that isn't currently in store to replace my device. went in today to replace the part. they suggest i erase my phone data to get my device replaced. i do some research and realize that esims cannot be transferred through icloud. i help them reach the solution of giving me a loaner iphone so i can properly transfer my data without bricking all of my apps in the process. i buy a loaner iphone that i will return later for a full refund. spend the next three hours transferring my primary esim, waiting for my data to transfer, and going to the secondary mobile network provider to get that esim transferred. i give them my iphone. they break my iphone again in the process of repairing it. lead technician comes out personally to apologize. they upgrade my iphone 13 pro to iphone 16 pro for free.
