BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes is confident in the growth of Bitcoin due to increased spending and money issuance in the US. He divides economic history into local inflationary and global deflationary periods. Since 2008, the US has been in the latter due to quantitative easing. A new economic era began in 2009 with the creation of Bitcoin. Despite the Fed raising interest rates, credit volume is growing due to the budget deficit. Hayes believes that holding cryptocurrency is the best way to preserve wealth.
