I find it ironic that an app that worships everything that ETH, ETH network and the Russian Dev behind Eth does yet… it Isn’t granting access to community features like wallets and airdrops to its loyal Russians DAUs. Ethereum and its network are built on principles of decentralization, transparency, and inclusivity. Both ETH and FC pride themselves on their values, advocating for a global, permissionless system where anyone can participate. so if I understand the ethos correctly, it would be expected to embody these principles, including granting equal access to features like wallets and airdrops to all users, regardless of their geographic location. I know I don’t understand the nuances behind this decision.. The /cis community deserves answers because they contribute just as much as anyone. They have been building their community for over a year (maybe closer to 2 years now) & a lot of the members have been vocalizing their frustration for a while now without anyone at warpcast acknowledging it

p sure this is wrong- warpcast not farcaster captures the IP and warpcast does not do airdrops. Perhaps they don't enable the wallet but i've not seen that anywhere. that said merkle is an American company, vitalik is canadian, and at least to the last of my knowledge russia was embargoed

You're countering and trying to be persuasive but not addressing the crux of the central point which is "The ethos of Eth is decentralization, Farcaster is reliant on Eth, why are they not aligning with the ethos". Vitalik being russian is just random supporting facts thrown in. They may not actually be facts if you're right. But the point of the arguement is that Warpcaster/Farcaster seems to be ignoring and excluding it's russian audience. Which is not very decentralized colorado radbro.

i'm only meaning to address the OP from quote saying they didn't think they'd receive any airdrop tokens on farcaster because warpcast had their signup ip-- otherwise, i let slip a stream of consciousness. Farcaster is completely indifferent to where you're located or what content you post, warpcast must not care if OP is using it to post. warpcast doesn't airdrop tokens. anyway i'm not sure what point you mean to make but "warpcast/farcaster ignoring russians in airdrops" is not correct as it relates to airdrops American companies might ignore Russians, but OP themself said vpn is fine. warpcast doesn't share the signup ip with random companies.

do your research ser. Users who signed up in Russia (in one example, they left Russia years ago), cannot access Warplet even though they got created Warplet addresses and receive assets there ("airdrops"). Which means Warpcast (as an unintentional edge case) created a sink for assets that applies only to certain types of users based on factual past representations
