yes it does they have a bit of sour/sweet taste to them, the longer they soak the more it penetrates into the egg and gives a stronger flavor. I quite like them it's mostly: white vinegar and sugar boiled, beets and juice, and eggs

in a gallon jug i make about 20 eggs which can last anywhere from 1-4 months though usually more like a month
