it sounded like you meant as a pre-popularized-LLM take, but this sounds post-LLM, unless i'm missing something related to search benchmarks

pre-ChatGPT, people said Google was the business of all time, data moat, etc. that said, search results significantly declined in effort to increase monetization post-ChatGPT, clear disruptive new behavior that is not as easily monetizable via attention (subscriptions seem to be winning with consumers)
