women catch the worst smoke from big pharma—pitched pills to numb the feels on one end, then slung magic beans to shrink into that girly ‘fit’ ideal on the other men, really boys, were sold on ADHD for a while with adderall, but we mostly understand that as bad now. in reality, they mostly just needed to be active instead of caged.

I feel like it's more MDs and societal norms which are the reason pharma is even big to begin with lmao if we didn't "need" to be caged we'd be fine! 😗

it’s a sort of chicken and egg— doctors can’t be expected to review your entire history and build a reasonable health plan, that’s the responsibility of the patient. doctors actually have extremely little time with each patient because of the volume they’re required to see— so it’s not fair to place the blame on them vs billion dollar companies who lobby for these things, same as big tobacco did! a lot of doctors would encourage better health, others earn for prescribing it (i.e oxy)

Which is why I said MD not DO 😉 but yes I agree, overall it always ends up leading back to capitalistic corporate greed lobbying and paying social media influencers to advertise coupons 😵
