Meta’s Policy Chief went on Fox this morning (with a video from Zuck) to announce it’s new policies:

leaning into free speech, replacing fact-checkers with community notes, and removing the shadowban on civic topics.

changes will affect Facebook, Instagram + Threads.

You can tell Elon is a multi-generational founder when he, without prior experience running a social media, out-innovate Zuck in 3 keys areas:

- pay for blue check
- Community Notes
- free speech

Yeah I understand that unlike X, Meta has the entire world as users so Zuck can’t act crazily or people will boycott his apps, so his lips are sealed on most things and his PR attitude is simply a consequence of that

eh, Elon is a great founder but Zuck had to sit in front of congress already in a way that severely damaged Meta’s reputation and consumer trust; understandable how he was hesitant to be the first to shake up social.
