Coming at out the end of this month. Ray came out with "The Singularity is Near" almost 20 years ago, and transformed a generation of future thinkers connected to the singularity movement. Reading those ideas back then was like discovering that I was not alone. Have this one on pre-order.

New book coming out by Romeo Dallaire - the Canadian General in charge of UN peacekeeping forces during the Rwandan genocide. He has been a personal hero of mine ever since reading 'Shake Hands with the Devil' 20+ years ago. No doubt this is going to be another one we'll worth reading.

Anyone into speed reading? I trained with speed reading software years ago and found it reduced mind wandering when reading. I also found cranking up the speed on audiobooks has the same effect. Both worked for me in focus and in retention.

Just finished this up. Excellent book for the intersections of evolutionary biology with AI & robotics, and what can be learned about AI from evolution of our brain functions. Worth reading more than once to consider the insights.
