there are kinds of sensory experiences that are inputs into human creativity that are fundamentally not inputs into computer learning models (the experience of growing up, tasting a delicious wine, the angst of man under post-industrialist late capitalism, etc). so AI always produces second-order remixes.

This is simply idea curation. Humans have curated preferences built in.
