Are we settling on an icon for the blobs?
I tent to go to small "block" on top of the block, not a round blob
any takes?

For option 1, blob shape as a block feels like a mismatch. One might interpret it as another block. For opt 2, I realize there's a mascot, but I read "food item" or "button" from the it

I like how this diagram shows blobs as separate, but connected to the block transactions

yes, this diagram is the original one.
Here makes sense to be separate, it is a details on how they work.
My goal is to have it scale back a bit, with the working client how it relates to the the others parts

Nice, the context is helpful! I like how the blob is tinted in this example. The icon works well in this diagram to show where a blob lives/operates. If you were looking for a more "universal" option for the blobs icon (i.e. one that might live outside the context of this diagram) further exploration could be warranted
