Starting to wonder if JD Vance is playing a long game to get into the white house by larping as MAGA.

I guess it shouldn’t be surprising Trump quickly forgets past statements if you bend the knee given he has no moral integrity, but “America’s Hitler” is a doozy.

Nothing this deep. Politicians are just swinging pendulums in their subjective game theoretic evaluations. 

People say extreme things to signal alignment with certain cohorts and values. When the incentives maths changes, they change back. Words don’t mean much to them.

Maybe true for most of them, but I can name many politicians who consistently demonstrate integrity. It’s easier to reduce them all to a cynical caricature.

Bernie has been saying and doing the same things since the 60's! I agree, the vast majority are not that consistent though. It's been especially telling watching the strong critics of 45 immediately rolling over.
