Biggest thing holding onchain music back (and music in general) is anytime someone tries something new people find ways to shoot it down because it doesn't directly benefit them. There's such a scarcity mentality around music that it's no surprise most people don't consider it to have value.

My learnings on collecting Music NFTs: - Collecting is more just 'listening' - Is not for passive fans - Way of supporting artists you like - Enables artists to foster intimate fan communities (Rarely happens in Web2) - For hard-core fans, interacting with artists is invaluable.

And, Music NFTs may not make you monies, but as a collector it lets you get closer to artists and helps you get plugged into music space ALONG with them. @coopahtroopa.eth thoughts?

For example, I love of @sound-xyz puts emphasis on 'Artists Backed' on the user profile. Like it clearly shows collecting is more about supporting the artists you connect with/love. You pay for creating a closer connection with the artist.

You nailed it. The only issue is that most fans don't see collecting as way to get closer and most artists don't engage deeply enough with their collectors for that closeness to be felt. Def a lot of work to do but trying to solve it everyday! 1000 $DEGEN
