Ethereum price to rise to $5,000 by May ?
Ethereum (ETH) could be ready for a strong rally as technical analysts are predicting the potential to reach $5,000 by May 2025. The charts show that Ethereum has consistently found strong support near the $1,600 level. The price has bounced off this area multiple times.
While the $1,600 level remains a strong support, Ethereum continues to face resistance at higher levels that needs to be broken for a trend change to occur. On the 4-hour chart, ETH has been in a downtrend since February 2025, making lower highs and lower lows. Resistance zones are forming around $1,759 and $1,811, with stronger barriers at $2,067 and $2,104.
To confirm the bullish outlook for a rally to $5,000, Ethereum needs to break through these resistance levels. A close above $1,811 could shift sentiment in favor of buyers.
