had to substitute on my prep period at school yesterday and a kid brought in an NES emulator with original mortal kombat

Mortal Kombat was made because Bally Midway was losing sales to street fighter two. To trigger the fatalities, you had to learn the combo sequences. Then it kicked off the gaming companies like nintendo and sega to work together on ESRB because of a short notices Senate hearing about violence & gore video games
