Kenneth Lynn Thomson, commonly known as Ken in the hacker circles, is one of the pioneers of computer science. Thomson designed and implemented the original Unix operating system. He is also the inventor of the B programming language, the ancestor of the C language. He says: One of my most productive days was removing 1000 lines of code.
