Nelson Mandela statue
 This design is a statue of Nelson Mandela, the first president of South Africa, designed by an artist named Marco Cianfanelli.  This statue was made on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Nelson Mandela's imprisonment and was made of 50 steel bars.  This statue was unveiled on August 4, 2012.  The number of bars in this statue shows the number of years he was imprisoned

and from a specific angle, the steel bars align to form a striking image of Mandela's face, symbolizing his enduring legacy and fight for freedom
