In a letter to his brother Theo, he wrote: "This morning, before sunrise, when I looked at the city from my bedroom window, I saw nothing but stars." In the same letter, he told his brother that the starry night painting did not turn out very well. In fact, this painting originates from Van Gogh's imagination and creativity, he was able to show his deepest feelings towards his surroundings, and it is actually considered one of his best works. The Starry Night painting is located in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City
