What are some issues on which you disagree with the "median elite Indian" perspective the most?

i suspect the answer is something like "being bullish on india, not being viscerally anti modi"

Are average elite Indians viscerally anti-Modi? Many of the ones I met on my trip certainly were, but that was predictable since I was going on a trip organized by a bunch of libertarians.

the "median elite", which is predominantly urban english educated upwardly mobile youth, have a visceral distaste for modi and bjp's politics. we're talking broad strokes, of course.

Do you think this line of thinking is common among commentators and talkers vs people who are building things ground up using India Stack or other home grown digital platforms?

yeah, but builders are not the median elite. they're a minority. you and i may belong in that bubble, but the average english educated netflix watcher in urban india is much more influenced by western narratives.

In defining 'builders,' are we discussing only crypto devs working with Eth related tech via Polygon, Devfolio, FIL, etc., and the larger Solana Dev community? Or the expansive network of web2 developers nationwide or even engg and related progs like BSc, BCA, tech free lancers.

Beyond the tech, 'builders' could encompass graduates from finance, economics, arts, law, and those contributing to the #startupindia movement. It's challenging to quantify their engagement without clear metrics, but a close proxy might be the traction garnered by vernacular media on platforms like YouTube.

Channels like Lallantop, or tech influencers like Akshay BD and Tanmay Bhat, are pivotal in driving the tech conversation. They've been catalyzing communities through initiatives like SuperteamDAO and various Solana hackathons.
