I actually kinda disagree. This puts each "topic" into singular + / -. The reality is some of his actions have higher impact (positive / negative) than others. Putting "open source Grok AI models" into same mathematical add function as "accidental nazi salute" feels off to me.

no model is perfect but some are useful i dont want to get into weights conversations (obviously they apply), i think showcases a reasonable mindset of "I am able to see that elon does both great things and horrible things and can hold those 2 truths in my head at once"

The problem with this is that his entrepreneurial work is high upside, low downside, so it’s fine if he gets things wrong and we should focus on the good. But his political work is high upside, high downside, so we shouldn’t let him off the hook when he gets things badly wrong even if he gets some things right.

actually that’s subjective and your opinion. One could argue that economics > politics (nazism appeared during a terrible economic time for example), and so the downside of having a shit economy is worse. This is exactly the crux of my argument. Few people are able to take a fair assessment and their opinion of him is just a reflection of what they value. It’s a thing with Elon, I can tell a lot about a person based on what they think of him.
