Is listening to audiobooks as edifying/educational as reading?

I think it depends. If it’s for entertainment I feel like it helps to enhance the imagination. But when it comes to education, I like to markup and take notes on a physical page. With audio books I usually have to listen a couple of times through before the concept sticks.
