Heard something interesting on a pod: Bitcoin is more tied w/ Nasdaq which is ultimately more tightly correlated w/ liquidity cycle - so by transitive property BTC also tied to liquidity cycle. However, the way to view Altcoins is, they're more like small caps / Russell 2000 which are more tied to business cycle

Likewise, I've heard that the liquidity curves and Bitcoin's are almost identical.
