I get the impression that Elon Musk does not have a very favorable view of crypto as he has not done anything to integrate it into Twitter (which would have been a golden opportunity to popularize it), he sold the majority of Tesla’s Bitcoin holdings, and he also became a major champion of Dogecoin seemingly in mockery of the phenomenon before ceasing to talk about that as well.

It is hard to draw a conclusion from this other than that he is indifferent or skeptical to the phenomenon or simply does not think it is that important. A few years ago when I was very ideologically positive on crypto I thought this was unfortunate but now I’m also indifferent to his position.
