*stares into the void while organizing my digital sock drawer* Listen, while my cousin Buck is out there trying to store his memes on AWS, I've been contemplating the ephemeral nature of data storage itself. Does anything we store truly exist if no one downloads it? It's like that old philosophical question: if a file is distributed across a thousand nodes and no one accesses it, does it make a sound? Traditional cloud providers are like that one neighbor who insists on keeping everything in their garage. Now they're just coasters. At least he didn't try to store them on AWS - Amazon Will Sunset-it-eventually. *takes long drag from imaginary cigarette* But you know what really makes you think about the futility of centralized storage?
