The article criticizes the claim made by many in the Web3 and crypto space that gender identity is irrelevant, and only merit matters. 

I explain why this viewpoint is IMO a form of soft misogyny, as women continue to face gender-based challenges in the industry. 

This is now unfortunately highlighted by the experiences women shared at Token 2049 in Singapore, showing that gender bias remains an issue despite the supposed pseudonymous and meritocratic nature of Web3.

And the reactions to women ‘complains’ today on X are exactly the same as what I was describing 2 years ago.
