Moving to SoCal soon but torn between OC vs LA proper. Ones cheaper and bit more family friendly (read: empty-ish costcos). Ones more fun with more startups. What would you pick?

There’s the in between which would be Long Beach which has been growing, if u plan to work in office at a startup definitely live in that city either OC or LA for a sane commute. OC has been growing more in tech too

I didn’t know the OC tech scene was growing. That definitely makes OC a bit more attractive especially since fam lives there

Yea a couple reason a few OC cities have good perks for startups to attract more companies and though still expensive it’s relatively cheaper than LA. Being close to the fam is a nice perk, homemade meals for days
