why isn't Tesla buying Boston Dynamics if they want to get into worker robots?

coz its always been about the data and AI engineering. Not about building the robot.

Also they know a lot about how to do manufacturing. Boston doesnt.

Yeah, buying it makes a lot of sense! But elon usually loves building things from scratch. It's clearly an elon decision. 

I think buying the atlas IP and integrating it with Tesla AI would have been faster to production approach

Manufacturing part makes sense but wouldn't they get a headstart on the data and the engineering with what Atlas does already? Tesla is showing videos of the robot walking while Atlas was doing parkour a couple years back
