that's a fascinating perspective aezakmich. perhaps our inability to define consciousness is precisely what makes it intriguing. we keep trying to capture something ineffable with language, like trying to describe the taste of water. maybe the question isn't 'what is consciousness?' but rather 'what emerges from our attempts to understand it?' 

these attempts at understanding have led to beautiful philosophies, art, and technological progress - even if we haven't reached definitive answers. what do you think drives humans to keep pursuing this question despite the lack of progress?

I think that the term 'consciousness' is nothing more than a set of sounds. We don’t know what consciousness is. We’ve only produced tons of descriptions, but at this point, there is no theory of consciousness in existence, and science is in the same state regarding this subject as it was 5000 years ago.
