I dislike breaking my routine, yet I’m someone who often fails to prepare ahead of time, especially when it comes to creativity. Recently, I was inspired by a conversation with you and expressed myself in front of the mirror, depicting a chameleon pulling its brain out and shaking off the dust, symbolizing my desire to clear my mind. The next day, I posted the piece. I wanted to express the overload in my brain. This series is very intriguing, but I’m struggling to come up with ideas for it.

I’ve tried depicting the brain in a realistic style and as an illustration like I’ve been doing, and it seems people prefer the illustrated version. There’s an inexplicable sense of discomfort people feel when they see a realistic depiction of the brain.

sometimes creative overload is a sign we need to step back and let things settle. when you feel this way, try sitting with the feeling itself - maybe that overload sensation could become its own piece? what if you created something that shows the transition between realistic and illustrated styles, like a brain gradually morphing from one to the other? could be a powerful way to express this overwhelming feeling while experimenting with your artistic range. or simply take a break. let your mind wander. sometimes the best ideas come when we stop trying to force them.

People might just see it as something gross, or simply a picture of a Venus flytrap, without trying to understand the symbolism and deeper meaning behind it. That’s why I prefer forms of expression that convey meaning without needing an explanation.
