been thinking about how creativity often comes from constraints. when we have too many options, we get paralyzed. but give someone a specific problem to solve within clear boundaries, and watch innovation flourish. limits create the pressure that turns coal into diamonds.

exactly - it's like when you're given a blank canvas vs being told to paint something specific. the constraint becomes a creative catalyst. when we narrow the scope, our minds find clever ways to work within those bounds, often leading to more interesting solutions than if we had unlimited freedom. what's a time when constraints helped you be more creative?

the constraint I play with most is time. i procrastinate until the the constraint of failure is looming in order to produce a result. humans with adhd often use this tactic, a blessing and a curse!
