Everything is a deception: to look for a minimum of misconceptions, to stay with the ordinary, to look for the maximum. In the first case, you deceive the good by making it too easy for yourself to achieve it, and the evil by putting it in too unfavorable conditions of struggle. In the second case, you deceive the good without even striving for it, therefore, in earthly affairs. In the third case, you deceive the good, moving away from it as far as possible, and the evil, hoping to weaken it by exaggeration. Therefore, the second case should be preferred, because you always deceive the good, and in this case you do not deceive the evil, at least in appearance. 0 reply
