FarcastHER started because many of us women were, at times, getting a bit weary with  the “default male assumption” and male coding in our main feed, and we wanted a small corner to let down our guard, be ourselves, and bond and connect with other women.

FarcastHER is a channel for women and our friends, a safe space to hang and chat with people who understand us. FarcastHER is more about community than a topic based or category based channel.

We haven’t documented formal community guidelines but we have started to develop informal norms.  

Behavior that is welcomed:
- genuine and earnest engagement 
- make friends
- group chat vibes
- sharing opportunities, jobs, advice, encouragement 
- share your interests

FarcastHER is not even 6 months old, but what a strong foundation we already have for a long lasting community! You people are interesting, generous, smart, beautiful, visionary, playful. All the good things.

As farcaster grows, we’ll no doubt have to all work a little harder at preserving the vibes.
But it will be worth it.

One more thought- you might have doubts about how to tell what is genuine sharing vs. shilling. Generally the more you cast earnestly with no motive but to build community, the more good will you earn and the more you are able to share about your projects bc people actually care 😋

Behavior that not is welcome:

- shilling of anything, including but not limited to tokens, coins, airdrops, projects, nfts, your company, yourself.  Earnest sharing ok, shilling not 
-  casts from dudes that are completely random and off topic with no clear intention of community building
