Not exactly my scenario but close… I get it through a local broker by joining a union for independent contractors, the union negotiates for rates

Are there multiple options for a union for independent contractors? If so is it geographically based? For example if I’m in Peru could I still join the union?

I think it’s local to where I live. I didn’t ask too many questions Was not fun navigating options when my husband and I both decided to go out on our own the same year and left the safety of corporate health care 😣
