Yep, also had guilt as was my mistake that led to him heading off (left him unsupervised outside at night when he was still only getting used to our new place). Nice to ditch that feeling!

I had just a flash of that feeling (luckily only for a few minutes) when we took our pup to a dog beach once, first time off leash, she got scared and just booked it for the exit… where there was a highway waiting for her. I panicked as I ran after her, only to find her sitting by our car 😓
