Listened to a fantastic artist feature with @ccarella and @nounishprof on /gmfarcaster's one year anniversary and learned that airdropped NFTs go straight to the hidden folder on OpenSea. This is essential to know if you subscribe to @hypersub as this is the typical delivery mechanism. It looks like I've got some unhiding to do as this is what I found. Sharing this so others may find some hidden gems in their wallets today.

And for anyone** asking “I don’t even use opensea, why does it matter if they hide it?” Apparently Opensea has APIs that other apps use so for interoperability to work, you might need to unhide in opensea. Example: a website is giving access to a special feature if I own a certain NFT. Even though I clearly own the nft (just look at my wallet!) the website doesn’t see it bc it’s source of truth is open sea ** this was me a few months ago. I never use open sea but had trouble with an app I was using bc one of my nfts was hidden. And for the life of me I couldn’t figure out why open sea matters in this composable open world 😫

This has happened to me as well. Couldn’t get into a gated chat till I unhid the nft on opensea 😁
