Should all podcasts be hobbiests only or do you have a better alternative for podcasters to earn $$?

Are there any ads you like on any platform? tv ads? Movie previews? Billboards?

Ads mostly suck so I don’t blame you for hating them on podcasts but there’s a reason they are everywhere 

I’m also a professional podcaster now so there’s that lol

that’s a difficult question but for me the only thing that comes to mind is selling a subscription: Sam Harris’s Making Sense podcast and business model for instance is one of the prime examples i would look at for ideas in this vein

he never sells any time to advertisers as it would compromise his integrity and he admits as much
