I could not find any info about USDC on Base, so I don't think it is supported yet. I also want to know if CB plans to offer gas free txs like they do on Polygon.

Coinbase helps -> USD Base Coin (USDbC) is a bridged version of USDC
But on the superfluid checkout page it's looking for USDC in Base 🤷‍♀️
