Farcaster has announced the launch of Frames v2 in 2025
Frames v2 will allow full-screen apps to run inside Warpcast, as well as support interactive apps, onchain transactions and notifications.
The update will address issues with the first version, such as limited interactions, slow image processing speed, and lack of state saving. The new standard will provide developers with more options, including the use of SDKs for transactions and data persistence.
The first version of Frames v2 will be available on November 27, with a full version with additional features expected in early 2025.
