Welp, looks like an airport in Iran just recorded a heat index (i.e., perceived temperature) of 180°F / 82.2°C, which is well into the “red zone” of the chart below. The air temperature of 102°F / 38.9°C combined with a humidity of 85% led to that record-breaking heat index. This is the first time I see a wet-bulb temperature excursion into lethal territory. I am not so sure to believe those data anymore. What I see on my weather app is too much off from my sensors readings. 10% or more on temperature. Sometimes the ground wind blows from totaly the opposite direction they have it. Humidity is oftentimes correct. 4 diff weather stations all from different manufacturers and data more or less the same an all of them. Sometimes because of microclima they show different data but you can feel it going for a walk or cycling.
