why do you ask for a video? do you think it introduces bias into the application process?

i make documentaries about musicians and distribute them on joko [www dot joko dot xyz]

explaining with video may be easier for the english speaking world, can applicants record non-english videos? a video also introduces beauty bias. generally a person’s ability to articulate a subject in writing is an indication of how well they understand the subject matter. perhaps you could make the video optional.

A video gives people an opportunity to explain and pitch using many skills that would go unrecognized in a written application. Having reviewed many applications, I can tell you that the video contains a lot of signal and most people make better videos than written applications!
