AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) is still in its early stages, but its development is accelerating rapidly. Currently, AI remains narrow (ANI) and requires human intervention. However, with advancements in natural language processing, self-learning capabilities, and quantum computing, AGI might emerge sooner than expected.
The next big breakthrough could be AI models that learn independently without labeled data (unsupervised learning) or AI that can understand abstract concepts and possess limited self-awareness. If that happens, AI could become truly autonomous, capable of reasoning and making decisions like humans.
The challenge? Regulation, ethics, and the existential risks to humanity. Are we ready? ๐ 0 reply
