Interesting! Funny story. I've launched a product that we hacked together during the weekend called readtwit in 2009.

It'd connect to your account using oauth. Imported your feed and expanded any links / articles shared in it and scraped the content to then generate an RSS feed.

Feed to newspaper in a few minutes.

Product went viral with more than 100k users in a couple days back then. We ended up shutting it down because scraping was very expensive. 

Still amazed that hundreds of tweets are still indexed about it.
