Skiff got bought by Notion. Seems like a weird culture fit from the outside https://x.com/skiffprivacy/status/1756093174806974831?s=46

Strange, esp. since Notion stores all your notes unencrypted (and has been criticized for that). Maybe an acquisition focused on getting the tech + people for improving their core product’s privacy?

They are Soc2 compliment, so their data privacy still is within proper standards. Having said that, this is clearly a play to convince more people they take privacy seriously. More than regular users, they want enterprise clients and this acquisition helps with that

Good point. I remember when they still tried to charge personal users for their space. Then found out that there’s soooo much more money in B2B SaaS, since average joe doesn’t want to pay for sth like a notes tool or a Calendar. So their play makes sense I guess.
