I need a way to add people to a channel directly from their profile page, its so cumbersome to click around and try and remember peoples handles also can someone add me to /farcaster I'm somehow not a member there?

One way you can vet candidates and have them easily apply is through the Cura frame. To make it show up at the top of the channel, open the manage button at the top, navigate to "edit channel details" and paste the frame URL in the external link field: frame.openrank.com It will look like this from your community page once added.
