Just did bed time story with chatGPT & Midjourney and worked as good, if not better, than any bedtime routine I’ve done. Can even choose your own adventure. Take have kids ingest their own prompts along the way and generate imagery based off their own edits of the story. Was fun.

How do you handle winding the story down? Some kids don’t want the experience to end, either because they want to delay sleeping, or because they’re generally fascinated and want to keep going.

We’ve read bedtime stories to our older since she was a baby. She normally ask for more books, we just lead with the fact that no more after X and she’s good with it. We also lay with them quietly for a few minutes before leaving the room.
