The ouroboros has long been used as a hermetic symbol to convey unity and wisdom and whatnot When it’s really just a very dumb danger noodle so hangry it started eating its own tail

Never knew it was associated with wisdom. Always thought it was a symbol of hubris and self inflicted demise

I simplified for dramatic effect but it actually has a cool history in the sense that it’s popped up in multiple cultures and meant different things over time. But the recurring themes are rebirth, eternity, continuity, etc. If you fancy reading: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ouroboros
