preliminary and evolving thoughts on channel changes pros - better mod tools that match standard community management needs (hiding, banning, etc) - ability to send pinned announcements to channel followers/members (tho may get spammy if all channels use it all the time 😅) - reaching new people who are curious about my channels, overall fc activity increase cons - wish there was a one-click mass invite of channel followers to members (tools help but don’t seem to be getting to everyone) - actually *less* wanting to cast in channels for now bc of concerns about friends not being able to reply and be seen if they don’t happen to be members of the same channel - concerned that folks are losing visibility of their content if they didn’t re-enroll in channel membership. now I would advise all creators including myself to post enduring content on their own website and syndicate to here and other social platforms - home feed has gotten “weird” for now and I feel isolated from my friends

It's definitely going to take time for me to adapt. I'm a serial channel poster. Now I have to grovel to a bunch of mods for permission to contribute. In fairness, most are fine with giving me permission, but some of the bigger channels are no doubt getting spammed about the same thing, and I don't like feeling as if I'm spamming. Some channel owners clearly thought their approach through prior to the switch, but I'd gather more didn't. I gather we'll likely be in a transition period where we see those who care enough to adapt and experiment, and those who can't be bothered. Will be interesting to look back in a few weeks and see what the overall consensus is
