I see many people feel like they MUST want to have kids, that that’s our purpose in life and they fail it they don’t 

Wrong! That is the animal nature of humans. That desire is simply there for survival of the species. 

Humans are in fact, the only species that has the possibility to not be ruled by that instinct. We are the ones blessed with free will and the ability to see that is mere instinct.

We are blessed with the choice to decide for ourselves what it’s important in our lives. And if that’s having kids, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, but neither is anything wrong with nothing having them. 

The universe has given us the blessing to decide EVERYTHING for ourselves. It would be an insult to choose to be ruled by the animal nature.

Absolute truth. 

One of the reasons that this animal nature become so paramount in us can genuinely be linked with continous lifecycle of the humankind. We just want to ensure our lineage does not become extinct.. 

While I understand it's good, I still agree that it's not a MUST to choose to have kids.
