Personally, remote.

Unless everybody's going in for a specific purpose, 89% of those meetings can be emails/Zoom calls

but it’s the 10% that matters.

i prefer in-person much better. serendipity carries far even at the cost of distractions - for now, we do n days a week in person.

we tend to meet more when we feel stuck, and meet less when the action plans are all streamlined and all that’s left is to be heads down w/ code/design.

in-person is the magic for esp. consumer startups. 

too many variables to remotely sort everything out on the fly. and remote office hours and “hallway chat” = real strong nah for me. I did Lounge for 2+y and still not bullish at all

Yep I agree. I'd also say that's why remote works though: come in for that 10% and then head back out to get the stuff done, having the option to come in whenever

(Also other considerations such as cost, home dependants etc)
