I don't see a perl in my wallet but I would love to add to the collection. & to answer eh question, I'd say 9

I think it is a nice touch! And gives you guys a chance to do something with it later on

Relative to the influence of seeing people use perl on my decision to sign up (which is def pushing me toward getting perl), this NFT would have almost zero impact on me. 

So, 0.

Question: is there any expected benefit (present or future, social or monetary) for having this non-differentiated 8bit clam in my wallet?

I already signed up, but knowing I would get a clam probably would have increased my likelihood of doing so by a 1 out of 10. I like clams, and think this one is cute, but outside of that not sure it does much (unless you tell me otherwise in the process).

The counter of who has claimed it so far is a smart move
