Farcaster is like a small town now with the goal of evolving into a bustling city, then a country like @balajis.eth’s network state paradigm.

when i joined back in ‘22, i remember seeing the og builders like @greg @warpcastadmin.eth @briang @matthew @alvesjtiago.eth - i soon met @peter here and all of us are still here tinkering and dreaming. 

long ways to go, but there’s reals fire here worth nurturing. here for it

i just think it needs to be recognizably different at a split second glance from x/threads 

in addition to big x accounts, irl friends, gf, fam - all stopped using it for the same reason so far

I completely agree. That said, many outsiders who come to our small town don't feel like they fit in, and they leave. I think in order for this place to go from town to city, it has to do a better job at retaining the friends of friends who join and the new users who discover it without knowing anyone.
